75 Million Movement

About the 75 Million Movement

Across the country, millions of people can’t access the education and training opportunities that lead to quality jobs, preventing them from achieving economic success for themselves and their families.

Jobs for the Future’s 75 Million Movement brings together leaders who are committed to changing that reality. We align efforts around our shared vision and mobilize action throughout the work and learning ecosystem.

Our North Star goal: By 2033, 75 million Americans facing barriers to economic advancement will have quality jobs.

Why a Movement?

As changemakers, we’re stronger together. The 75 Million Movement exists to:

Unite employers, educators, policymakers, workforce leaders, community organizations, and funders.
Coordinate action to establish quality jobs as a core outcome of education and workforce programs.
Accelerate proven and promising solutions so more people can move into quality jobs faster.

When you join the 75 Million Movement, you become part of JFF’s national effort to build quality jobs and a better quality of life for American workers.

Defining ‘Quality Jobs’

Drawing from the American Job Quality Study and our ongoing efforts to promote quality jobs, we believe a quality job lets workers:

  • Meet their basic financial needs with fair pay, stable employment, and benefits that reduce financial stress
  • Feel safe, respected, and free from discrimination or harassment at work
  • Grow their skills and advance in their careers through learning and development opportunities
  • Have agency and voice in decisions that affect their pay, working conditions, and the use of technology on the job
  • Experience a work structure that provides a stable, predictable schedule, a manageable workload, and meaningful control over when and how work gets done

Quality jobs don’t look the same in every industry or community. The 75 Million Movement invites members to advance job quality in ways that fit their circumstances.
