The explosive growth of artificial intelligence is reshaping how we learn, work, and live. AI’s implications are profound for job creation, hiring practices, market dynamics, skills development, and economic mobility. Some reports estimate that AI could impact nearly 300 million jobs globally, and in some cases, automate up to 30% of the hours worked in the U.S. economy.
We believe that AI development and use should make us all better off. AI has the potential to drive economic advancement for all if it’s implemented intentionally and inclusively, and we have both a moral and a business imperative to ensure that AI is used to advance, rather than deter, progress toward economic advancement and more quality jobs for all.
The Center for Artificial Intelligence & the Future of Work convenes stakeholders across sectors to shape the national dialogue on AI and the future of work and learning. Through research, convening, and applied experimentation, the Center helps practitioners and institutions build the capacity to adapt, brings cross-sector leaders together to address structural challenges, and tracks emerging AI trends to translate insight into action. Together, this work helps ensure AI accelerates access to quality jobs and economic advancement in a rapidly changing world.
