Select Experts Alison Lands Vice President

Alison Lands is a vice president in the Employer Mobilization practice at JFF. She leads a team that helps employers adapt to economic and technological disruption by creating talent solutions that benefit workers, businesses, and communities alike. 

Her skills and areas of expertise include:  

Labor markets and economic development 

  • Enterprise workforce transformation 
  • Human resources and educational technologies 
  • Skills-based organization design 
  • Cross-sector coalitions and impact 

Before joining JFF, Lands led strategy and partnerships for SkyHive, a global AI innovator in labor market and skills intelligence. She also led the North America Skills Transformation practice at Coursera, advising over 300 organizations on bespoke reskilling strategies for their employees and jobseekers. In addition, Lands has held senior leadership roles at Deloitte Consulting, BCG, the New York State Economic Development Council, and the City of San Antonio, Texas. 

Educational background:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics and urban studies, Trinity University, San Antonio Texas. 
  • Master’s degree in public and economic policy, London School of Economics  
  • Master’s degree in public administration, Columbia University 
  • Certificate from the Economic Development Institute of the University of Oklahoma 
  • Certified Economic Developer from the International Economic Development Council
