Our Values & Culture

JFF’s Five Guiding Principles

Our values are more than words—they’re how we show up every day. They shape how we collaborate, how we forge partnerships, and who we strive to be as an organization.

We are…

Bold

We lead with actions and ideas that push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Two people on a paper boat; one stands with a telescope while the other sits rowing with a paddle, set against a light blue circular background.

Forward-Thinking

We embrace innovation to help people improve their lives today and for years to come.

Passionate

We are driven to create a world where everyone can achieve equitable economic advancement.

Rigorous

We work diligently to design, test, and scale evidence-based solutions.

Transformative

We bring about meaningful and lasting systems-level change.

Connection and Belonging at JFF

Connection, belonging, and well-being are core to JFF’s North Star and mission.

A man and a woman sit at a table with a laptop and coffee cup, smiling and talking in a brightly lit, modern office space.

  • We build teams that represent the communities we serve, and create pathways for growth and leadership within our organization
  • We foster a culture of psychological safety, where every voice is heard, collaboration thrives, and people feel supported to take risks and innovate.
  • We center well-being in our work because balance and care make lasting impact possible.

Employee Resource Groups

Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) help foster connection, learning, and leadership across JFF. They’re employee-led communities that celebrate shared identities and experiences while advancing our commitment to inclusion and belonging. ERGs are open to all employees, members, and allies alike.

A person wearing glasses, a black shirt, and a red polka dot bow tie stands smiling in front of a red background with a white dot pattern.“Jobs for the Future is a very special organization. It is such a privilege to work for a field-leading nonprofit that treats its employees well in terms of work environment, opportunities for growth, development, and compensation. I feel like I have a real voice within the organization and like there is a strong desire to support me in being the best version of myself. Most important, the organization is made up of some of the most intelligent, thoughtful, and genuine people I’ve had the pleasure to work with. Mission-driven, employee-focused, and people-centered – JFF has it all.”
