Why Alternative Pathways to Jobs Is About More Than Money

A recent Axios article cited JFF President and CEO Maria Flynn and mentioned JFF’s work on the Google IT Support Professional Certificate program.

The article noted that employers and nonprofits are offering certificate programs to help people develop the skills needed for in-demand jobs and added that Flynn “and other experts believe that partnerships formed by governments, nonprofits, and other companies can work together to reskill even more American jobseekers, particularly those coming from underserved communities.”

As an example, Axios noted that JFF partnered with Google on the Google IT Support Professional Certificate program to help community college students develop tech skills that are in demand in high-growth fields.
