Jobs for the Future (JFF) Business Ethics Statement

Our Commitment

At Jobs for the Future (JFF), integrity is fundamental to everything we do. We are committed to conducting our work ethically, fairly, transparently, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. As a nonprofit organization, we recognize that the trust placed in us by employees, learners, employers, partners, funders, and the public is essential to fulfilling our mission.

We expect our Board members, employees, contractors, consultants, volunteers, and others acting on JFF’s behalf to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct in every aspect of our work. Ethical conduct is a shared responsibility, and by acting with honesty, accountability, fairness, and respect, we strengthen the confidence of our employees, partners, funders, and the communities we serve and advance JFF’s mission with integrity.

Respectful Workplace, Anti-Discrimination & Anti-Harassment

JFF is committed to creating and maintaining a workplace and community where individuals can work, learn, and participate in JFF programs and activities in an atmosphere free from unlawful discrimination, harassment, exploitation, and intimidation.

JFF prohibits unlawful discrimination and harassment in the workplace and expects employees and others acting on JFF’s behalf to treat one another, partners, clients, contractors, vendors, and members of the public with dignity and respect.

JFF does not tolerate retaliation against individuals who, in good faith, raise concerns about discrimination, harassment, unethical conduct, or potential violations of law or JFF policy, or who cooperate with an inquiry or investigation.

Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption

JFF prohibits bribery and corruption in any form.

No employee, Board member, contractor, consultant, volunteer, or other individual acting on JFF’s behalf may directly or indirectly offer, give, promise, authorize, request, solicit, or accept a bribe or anything of value to improperly influence a decision, obtain an improper advantage, or secure business, funding, or any other improper benefit.

This prohibition applies to interactions with government officials, funders, partners, vendors, contractors, and all other third parties. It includes, but is not limited to, cash, gifts, meals, travel, entertainment, charitable contributions, political contributions, employment opportunities, or other items of value offered or received for an improper purpose.

JFF is committed to complying with applicable anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the U.K. Bribery Act, and other laws applicable where JFF conducts business or receives funding.

Raising Concerns

JFF encourages employees and others who interact with JFF to raise concerns about suspected discrimination, harassment, retaliation, fraud, bribery, corruption, misuse of organizational resources, unethical conduct, or other potential violations of law or JFF policy.

Concerns may be shared with JFF’s People & Culture team or by emailing concerns@jff.org. Employees may also use the reporting channels available under JFF’s internal policies.

JFF is committed to reviewing reported concerns promptly and, when warranted, taking appropriate action. Reports are handled as discreetly as possible, recognizing that complete confidentiality cannot always be guaranteed when conducting a fair and thorough review and/or complying with legal obligations.

JFF prohibits retaliation against anyone who, in good faith, raises a concern or participates in an inquiry or investigation.
