Andrés T. Tapia, EMBA is a global strategist, author, and public servant working at the intersection of character, culture, and leadership. His firm’s work includes the CharacterGPS™ framework, a model that helps organizations identify and cultivate the character traits that enable leaders and teams to perform at their best.
Previously a Senior Partner at Korn Ferry and the firm’s global diversity and inclusion strategist, Andrés was one of the leading voices shaping a contemporary, next-generation approach to inclusive leadership. His work emphasized integrating leadership culture and talent systems to drive organizational performance and marketplace success.
Across Europe, Asia, North America, and Latin America, Andrés has advised organizations on enterprise-wide leadership and culture strategies across industries including financial services, technology, health care, retail, manufacturing, government, education, and the nonprofit sector. Over more than 25 years as a C-suite advisor, diversity executive, organizational development professional, and journalist, he has supported dozens of Global 500 companies as well as multinational organizations in Brazil, South Korea, and India.
Andrés is the author or co-author of six books, including The Inclusion Paradox: The Obama Era and the Transformation of Global Diversity, Auténtico: The Definitive Guide to Latino Career Success, and The Five Disciplines of Inclusive Leadership: Unleashing the Power of All of Us. His writing has appeared in major publications throughout the United States and Latin America, including the Huffington Post and the New America Media wire service.
A frequent global speaker on leadership, culture, and the future of work, Andrés has received numerous leadership and inclusion awards. He currently serves on several boards advancing leadership and workforce development, including Jobs for the Future.
Andrés also serves as an elected City Councilmember in Highland Park, Illinois, where he became the first Latino elected to the council in the city’s 152-year history.
