JFFLabs Assessments Social Impact Accelerator FAQs

What are the requirements for eligibility?

For-profit companies and nonprofit organizations with existing customers and/or partnerships within the United States are eligible to apply.

What is the timeline for the selection process?

What kinds of solutions is JFFLabs seeking?

Assessment companies whose tools are appropriate for use with entry- and mid-skill roles in the IT sector. We are interested in tools that may assess technical skills and/or human skills (also known as employability skills or soft skills).

Who are the people JFFLabs is aiming to impact?

Young workers and individuals transitioning to careers in IT and pre-apprenticeship programs.

How will our intellectual property be treated?

If you are selected as an Impact Acceleration Partner, your IP will remain secure and private. We make no claim to our partners’ intellectual property.

How will my confidential information be treated?

Confidential information will remain confidential. Period.

Should I submit confidential and/or proprietary information as part of our application?

No, submit only information that is publicly available or not confidential.

How many companies will be selected?

Four (4)

Does your accelerator take an equity stake in your partner companies?

No. This Impact Acceleration Class is sponsored by Salesforce.org, and we do not take any equity stake or charge fees of any kind for participation.

Do you pay for the cost of travel to the Impact Story Event?

Yes. We offer travel stipends for one person to travel to the event. Travel is restricted to within the continental United States.

Other important information:

Employees of organizations are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary authorization from their employers for participation, in accordance with the rules and regulations relevant to their positions.

Applicants are advised to ensure that each submitted solution directly addresses the Impact Acceleration program.

Participants may change an application after it has been submitted, but they must do so before the application deadline.

JFFLabs will accept applications from August 12, 2019, at 8 a.m. ET to September 30, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. ET. We encourage applicants to share their applications with others before making their final submissions to gather feedback and pursue potential partnerships or solicit resources, as appropriate.
