Tyson Foods is taking an innovative approach to supporting its team of frontline workers in meat-processing plants, 60 percent of whom are immigrants and refugees representing more than 60 countries. For the past several years, Tyson and JFF have been developing a program to invest in these team members: Upward Pathways.
Designed to provide incumbent workers with opportunities to build the skills needed to advance into hard-to-fill roles, Upward Pathways combines basic instruction in math and English with coursework that promotes digital literacy and helps participants build on-the-job skills.
