Jobs for the Future Joins 22 Partner Organizations in Calling for Innovative Assessment Flexibility in ESEA Reauthorization

The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee has begun consideration of a bill to rewrite No Child Left Behind. A coalition of 23 groups, including Jobs for the Future, sent a letter to the HELP Committee’s Chairman Lamar Alexander and Ranking Member Patty Murray supporting the inclusion of an Innovative Assessment Demonstration Authority that would allow states to develop and pilot new systems of assessments that better enable personalized, competency-based learning.
