Every individual enters the workforce system with a set of unique goals. These goals and subsequent outcomes are often influenced by the person’s life situations and circumstances. While those circumstances differ from person to person, the mission of American Job Centers is to support everyone equitably, regardless of the scope or magnitude of the challenges or barriers that could affect an individual’s ability to complete training and successfully find a job.
Effectively identifying and addressing biases, structural inequities, and systemic racism that exist across programs, systems, and regions requires close examination of the ways in which education, experience, socio-economic status, and demographic characteristics influence participants’ outcomes.
