Sonali Kothari is the chief operating officer at JFFLabs, the new innovation engine of JFF that provides strategy and acceleration services to scale workforce and education solutions. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Labs, codifying the organizational strategy, and leading the establishment of new product management-driven services. 

Sonali was instrumental in the launch of Labs, helping to communicate Labs’ overall business strategy to key stakeholders, set up a process for Labs to interface with JFF’s Leadership Team, and kick off early initiatives like the JFFLabs Work-Based Learning Acceleration Cohort.  

Sonali comes to JFF from, a social impact nonprofit that has provided more than $1 billion of working capital to 2.4 million underserved students, farmers, and entrepreneurs. During her tenure there, she had roles as head of product, leading strategy, HR functions, and ultimately, COO.

She is based in San Francisco and works out JFF’s Oakland office. She plays in a pool league every Monday.
