
Nate Anderson
Senior Project Manager
Nate Anderson works on the Breaking Through initiative, a national effort to improve the success rates of students enrolled in Adult Basic Education. As part of this initiative, he provides technical assistance to participating colleges in Kentucky, North Carolina, and Michigan, as well as new cohort of Tribal Colleges. In addition to providing technical assistance and policy research, he documents program outcomes, presents to new partners organizations and colleges, works on grant development, organizes meetings, and manages contracts.
Previously at JFF, Mr. Anderson worked with Lumina Foundation for Education's Productivity Agenda, an initiative to improve completion rates at two-year and four-year public colleges within the constraints of existing resources. He has also worked at JFF as an editor, web developer, and executive search assistant. Before coming to JFF, he taught English in Japan to middle school, high school, and adult students as part of the Japanese Exchange and Teaching program.
Mr. Anderson holds a B.A. from Bowdoin College, a Master’s in Japanese history and Asian Pacific studies from the University of Toronto, and a Master’s in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
