
Lila McCain
Associate VP, Human Resources
As associate vice president of human resources, Lila McCain develops and implements JFF’s strategy for attracting and retaining the top talent to drive our many programs and operations.
Ms. McCain has more than 20 years of experience in human resources. Most recently, she served as HR director at American Student Assistance. Her vision led to the creation of ASA’s Compensation Structure and Salary Administration policy, and the development of a succession planning program. Under her direction, the Boston Globe and Boston Business Journal recognized ASA as one of Boston’s best places to work in 2008 and 2009.
Prior to ASA, Ms. McCain’s experience includes 19 years with Verizon, where she helped improve productivity and morale through better HR processes and programs. During her tenure there, she has held long-term assignments abroad, leading the HR function for a start-up venture in Thailand and a 150-employee business unit in Costa Rica.
Ms. McCain is a certified senior professional in human resources. She has a BA/BS in psychology and management from Boston College and an MBA in international business and marketing from Pace University. She is also a competitive rower and a current board member of Community Rowing, Inc.
