Welfare to Work: New Solutions For the New Economy—A U.K./U.S. Symposium

JFF's U.K./U.S. Welfare-to-Work project drew on the United States' experience in welfare reform to help the British government's New Deal Task Force to consider next steps in improving the performance of the United Kingdom's workforce development and welfare systems. 

As background for the U.K./U.S. Welfare-to-Work Conference on September 20-21, 2000, JFF produced three working papers on developments in U.S. workforce and welfare-to-work policy. Together, these papers provided a framework for considering next steps.
