Arthur H. White, founder of Jobs for the Future, is vice chairman of Yankelovich Partners, Inc. The company (formerly Yankelovich, Skelly & White) was founded almost 40 years ago by Mr. White and his longtime associates Daniel Yankelovich and Florence Skelly. From 1959 to 1986, Mr. White was a principal of the company and directed more than 200 research and consulting assignments for corporations, government agencies, industry associations, media, universities, and nonprofit organizations. From 1986 to 1992, Mr. White was president and CEO of WSY Consulting Group, Inc., a management consulting firm.

Mr. White serves as a member of the executive committee of the Reading is Fundamental program of the Smithsonian Institution, and he is an active board member of several organizations, such as the Institute for Educational Leadership, WAVE, Inc., Community Services Society, and Volunteer Consulting Group. Mr. White received his A.B. in government from Harvard University in 1947 and his M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business in 1951.
