Krista Ford co-manages Accelerating Opportunity, a national initiative to redesign Adult Basic Education programs and policies at state and institutional levels to substantially increase the number of adults who can earn a GED and a credential and enter the workplace with competitive skills. Ms. Ford has more than five years of experience as an educator and researcher. As a Princeton Fellow in Tanzania, she managed a proposal-writing process that directly led to a five-year, $14 million program to help support people living with HIV/AIDS. She has also taught adult English classes in Tanzania, coordinated youth literacy and mentoring programs for Everybody Wins! DC, and evaluated student outcomes for the Education Development Center. Ms. Ford has a Master’s of Public Policy from Brandeis University and a Bachelor’s in psychology from Princeton University. She is also a mentor for the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston.
