Julita Bailey-Vasco is a program manager for the Postsecondary State Policy at Jobs for the Future. She supports the planning of semi-annual state policy network meetings, manages the workflow for the Policy Leadership Trust for Student Success, and contributes to strategic communications, knowledge management projects, and the provision of policy services for the Student Success Center Network.
Prior to joining JFF in 2017, Julita worked at Bunker Hill Community College where, as a Senior Special Programs Coordinator, she oversaw a student leader program called the Academic Achievement, Cultural Competency, Engagement (ACE) peer mentorship program. Julita provided training and professional development for peer ACE mentors charged with assisting learning community faculty and success coaches in the classroom all while helping new students transition to college. Julita also collaborated with Bunker Hill’s Office of Community Engagement in developing culturally competent training curriculum for the peer ACE mentors.
Julita holds a master of science in Management from Eastern Nazarene College; a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Leadership and Management from University of Massachusetts, Amherst; and a bachelor of arts in Organizational Communication from Cedarville University.
