Judith Lorei is a senior program manager in Jobs for the Future’s Building Economic Opportunity Group. She provides project management and technical support for partners of the Department of Labor’s Registered Apprenticeship Equity contract to increase the participation of women, people of color, and opportunity youth in Registered Apprenticeship programs.
Prior to joining JFF in 2016, Ms. Lorei spent 17 years as a Workforce Development Consultant for Boston-based and national nonprofit organizations, government agencies, unions and union sponsored education and training funds. Her work focused on staff training and professional development. She co-wrote and delivered ANSI certified professional development courses for Apprenticeship Coordinators of the Laborers International Union of North America, the first certified Apprenticeship Coordinator program in the country. Ms. Lorei also worked as a consultant on a number of research projects documenting the promising practices of effective education, training and employment programs.
Ms. Lorei has a background in strategic program design, organizational development, staff development and contract management. Before her consulting career, she was the assistant director of The Work Place, Boston’s first One Stop Career Center.
She received a bachelor’s degree in Peace Studies from Manhattan College and holds a master’s degree in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School.
