Jan Hunter is the Director for CareerSTAT, an initiative of the National Fund for Workforce Solutions and Jobs for the Future that documents and promotes employer investments in the skill and career development of frontline workers in health care. As the CareerSTAT Director, Jan is responsible for leading the CareerSTAT initiative and fulfilling its annual goals and objectives as set forth by the NFWS Executive Director, the CareerSTAT Executive Committee, and the requirements of its philanthropic supporters. Jan has extensive experience in healthcare workforce development and in developing, leading and supporting grass roots efforts to help disparate groups come together to create a strong system for workforce development and pipeline development. As Director of Workforce Planning and Organizational Effectiveness at John Muir Health, in Walnut Creek, CA, she led the effort to hire underserved youth into meaningful internships and develop numerous other back to work programs with the workforce board. Most recently, Jan worked at Banner Health as their Director of Workforce Planning and Outreach in Phoenix, Arizona where she led a team of program managers to work with city, state, and national governments and entities to align education strategies with emerging workforce needs. Jan holds a B.S. degree in Marketing and Merchandising from Ball State University and a MBA in International and General Business from the Kellogg School of Management. Jan will be working remotely from her home in Scottsdale, Arizona.
