In her role as associate director, Clare Bertrand leads two projects at Jobs for the Future. She is the codirector of the web and mobile platform MyBestBets, a joint venture of Jobs for the Future and YouthBuild USA. She also leads the Students at the Center Hub team, which is part of the Students at the Center initiative. Ms. Bertrand has extensive training and presentation experience, including her experience as a lead trainer for and codeveloper of the Counseling to Career service line, as well as presenting at national conferences such as SXSWedu and iNACOL. Past JFF project and publication topics include the use of edtech to improve outcomes for opportunity youth (see: Using Educational Technology to Help Students Get Back on Track) and postsecondary policy analysis and tool development pertaining to time to completion and college productivity. Previously, Ms. Bertrand was a project coordinator at Teachers21, a Massachusetts-focused nonprofit organization focused on reshaping the profession of teaching through professional development and an out-of-school time educator and youth program coordinator at the Mattapan Family Service Center, Boston. Ms. Bertrand has a master's of philosophy degree in gender studies from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, and a bachelor of arts from James Madison University.
