Carol Gerwin is a writer and editor with Jobs for the Future's Communications team. She creates digital and print content that advances JFF’s mission to ensure that all lower-income youth and adults have the knowledge, skills, and credentials needed to succeed in our economy. Ms. Gerwin partners with subject matter experts throughout our organization to develop a wide variety of publications, including impact profiles, policy reports, issue briefs, books, and blog posts. Ms. Gerwin has covered critical education program and policy issues for 20 years as a journalist and a contributor to national research organizations, including Education Development Center and the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University. She also worked frequently on projects for JFF. Ms. Gerwin began her career as a daily newspaper reporter. She later became associate editor of CommonWealth Magazine, which covers public policy and politics in Massachusetts. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in sociology from Brandeis University.
