Jennifer Poulos is a senior project manager on the Making Opportunity Affordable (MOA) initiative. She will be working with other team members on many aspects of the initiative, including designing and conducting an evaluation of MOA. Prior to joining JFF, Ms. Poulos was a Senior Analyst at Abt Associates Inc. focusing on research and evaluation of major federal education initiatives, including secondary and postsecondary education programs. She had a major role in conducting an implementation study of the federal Smaller Learning Communities program, which examined structural reforms in large high schools. Ms. Poulos also conducted formative evaluations of academic programs for higher education institutions.
Ms. Poulos was also on staff at Achieve, Inc. working on standards-based reform issues, and served as a program/management analyst at the U.S. Department of Education, where her work focused largely on literacy issues. Ms. Poulos holds a B.A. in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross, and a Masters in Public Policy from Georgetown University.
