Clare Bertrand is the project associate for Making Opportunity Affordable. She is responsible for coordination and management of many aspects of the initiative, working with other members of the MOA team.
Prior to working at JFF, Bertrand was a project coordinator at Teachers21, a nonprofit organization focused on reshaping the profession of teaching through professional development, district reform efforts, and policy and advocacy work. Her responsibilities included co-directing a national conference on new teacher induction. She has also worked as a youth program coordinator at the Mattapan Family Service Center.
Bertrand has a Master’s in philosophy from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and a B.A. from James Madison University.
