Robert Knittle comes to JFF after 21 years of teaching in math at both the middle and high school levels. As instructional math specialist, Mr. Knittle has a dual role at JFF: as a teacher at University Park Campus School, as well as a trainer for teachers learning a variety of methods to utilize within their classroom. Working with residencies, instructional coaches, and math teachers, he helps teachers to develop skills necessary so all students can be a successful addition into the college field and beyond.
Mr. Knittle holds a B.A. in math from Assumption College in Worcester, and a Master’s of education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is a member of the Teacher Recruitment and Retention subcommittee of Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick’s Readiness Project, an endeavor to change and solidify education over the next 10 years.
